Dare to Hate Me?

Sri Kripalu Ji Maharaj: "If you either love or hate anyone or anything in the world, qualities of that very object will enter your mind. If it is tamasika, the mind becomes tamasika; if it is rajasika, the mind becomes rajasika; and, if it is sattvika, the mind becomes sattvika. If it attached to God and the saints, they purify it. Thus, if something impure enters the mind, it becomes more impure/ If something pure enters the mind, it becomes more pure.

"One should have neither love nor hatred towards anyone in the world because the heart melts in both these emotions for the personality towards whom these feelings are centred. This is just like lac, the hard wax which in a melted state completely absorbs any color that is mixed with it. After this, that colour cannot be separated from it. Similarly, when your mind melts in love towards anyone, the qualities of that person enter your mind. If the person is pure, your mind will be purified, and if he is impure, your mind will become more impure."
