Swami Jyotirmayananda, "You Must Keep Your Resolve to Evolve"

If a thief makes the resolve, "I am going to break the safe. I am going to get the wealth that is inside it," no matter how many guards there are, no matter how many alarms have been installed and security measures taken, he will get it.

The will of a yogi must be more indomitable than that of the thief.

When you make the highest resolution, "May I attain Self-realization," then in spite of all the difficulties, adversities, turmoil and obstacles, you must keep that resolve. According to the Upanishads, a sage said, "Amah Brikshasyareriva"-"I am the mover of the world tree. I will shape up the tree of the world-process and I will uproot it." And the sage did it! So too, let this profound resolution ring within your heart and fill your life with the choicest blessings of God.
