Trust God by Swami Atmaswarupananda
Early morning meditation has long been a tradition at Sivananda Ashram in Rishikesh. In 1995, Swami Chidananda requested Swami Atmaswarupananda to give brief talks after the meditation at 4 am. All His talks have now been brought out in book form.
"Trust God" contains a collection of 85 engrossing talks that provide penetrating insights into how we generally think about our choices, what decisions we make as regards our goals in life, and how we rationalise our shortcomings and inadequacies.
These days, there is no shortage of inspirational talks: despite their preponderance, not everyone, however, can and will inspire his listeners and readers. Unless a person believes in what he says, and especially practises his own beliefs, his words are not bound to have lasting, not even any, impact and impression on his audience. In point of fact, advice and counsel of a person with conviction have the powers to move even his detractors. Swami Atmaswarupananda is one such person.
"Trust God" is a thin book of hardly 200 pages; yet, its profound effect upon me cannot be exaggerated. I felt as if it was Swami Sivananda, the author of more than 300 books and spiritual tracts, and the founder of Divine Life Society, and the Guru of the author's spiritual master, who was speaking to me through Swami Atmaswarupananda's messages.
The book can be a good companion to any of Swami Chidananda's or Swami Sivananda's books.
