Reading Scriptures?

"Scriptural study will inspire in you a greater zeal for God, if you read the stanzas slowly and try to assimilate their deep meaning," Paramhansa Yogananda replied. "Reading sacred literature without following its precerpts produces vanity, false satisfaction and what I call 'intellectual indigestion'".
