Who is a REAL Guru? What's Wrong in Approaching a Wrong Guru?
Real Happiness with a Real Guru
"Therefore any person who seriously desires real happiness must seek a bona fide spiritual master and take shelter of him by initiation. The qualification of the bona fide guru is that he has realized the conclusions of the scriptures by deliberation and is able to convince others of these conclusions. Such great personalities, who have taken shelter of the Supreme Godhead, leaving aside all material considerations, should be understood to be bona fide spiritual masters." [Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 11:3:21]
Qualifications to be a Guru
"...approach a preceptor who is versed in the Vedas and is established in Brahman" (Mundakopanishad Chap 1, Section 2, Verse 12)

Why Approach ONLY Such a Guru? Why Not Others?
Because ONLY "....The self-realized soul can impart knowledge unto you because he has seen the truth." [Bhagavad Gita 4:34]
